Mr. Sid file format missing on Raster Design 2009 64 Bit on Windows 7!!!

Real strange one here.

I have two computers.

One is Windows XP 32 Bit and the other Windows 7 64 Bit.

It seems as if Raster Design 2009 does NOT have the Mr.. Sid file type on the Windows 7 64 Bit Version.

SID is NOT listed as a file type in the IINSERT command.

I am using the 64 Bit Version of Raster Design 2009 with the one issued service pack applied.

But it works fine on the Windows XP 32 Bit computer with the 32 Bit Version of Raster Design?

Was this a programming mistake?

Or does it have something to do with Windows 7?

Or the 64 Bit version of Raster Design 2009?

Either way I need to get this solved.

Has dozens of Windows 7 64 Bit boxes that need SID file type support in 2009.

If anyone has any ideas please let me know.

The 64-bit MrSid codecs were not available from the vendor at the time of the AutoCAD Raster Design 2009 release. After these 64-bit codecs were released they were included in the 64-bit version of AutoCAD Raster Design 2010. These 64-bit codecs are in the 64-bit versions of AutoCAD Raster Design 2010 and newer. 32-bit codecs are included in 32-bit versions of AutoCAD Raster Design.

AutoCAD Raster Design 2009 and 2010 are not supported on Windows 7. You will find a list of 2010 and 2011 Autodesk products supported on Windows 7 at this Autodesk web page.

Do you know if this issue has been resolved yet?  I have AutoCAD Civil 3D 2009 installed on Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.  I can't get SID images to load via xref in a drawing.   I've downloaded the AutoCAD Raster Design 2009 Object Enabler 64 bit and installed it, but it doesn't work.  Are there any solutions?

Thank you.
