Looking at buying raster and have questions

I am very familiar with Autocad and Carlson.  I recently switched jobs to a company that has nothing.  They have hand drawn details of precast concrete structures and want me to make them into cad dwgs.  I had an autodesk dealer show up and tell me that if I buy autocad with raster that i can take those and make a dwg without redrawing.  Is this correct?  I installed the trial and I can not find where I can do this.  I have called the guy twice and heard nothing?  Any help would be great!

why don't you download the trial versions and field test with these sketches in your office? way better way to find out.
