Hp 1220C Prints White Bands From Image

Hi.
I'm using Map Series 6 and have a hybrid/jpg
vector drawing set up with a rotated UCS. I set up a tabloid layout on
the HP 1220C connected through IP and a jetdirect 300x using XP Professional-Novell
client server.
Here is the problem: When I print
to the deskjet all vector entities print ok, except for the raster image.
It leaves a 2mm band of white non print at equal 3cm intervals throughout
the printout. Sent the same print to another 1220C using another IP and
got the same results. When I send another layout to the HP 488 CA it prints
fine.
It (edited) to be me at 4:00 on friday... I'm
going home.
Ciao!

Possibly the driver being used (we have one printer where unless it is set
as the Windows System Printer it does not print any raster or exhibits what
you describe)... it is also possibly the printer's memory or lack there
of... or possibly where that printer is processing the overflow of data (on
the computer or not).

You might try searching through the printing & plotting discussion group.

Thanks for the reply. I had this problem a couple of times since I posted the
original message so here goes. The first time I just reinstalled the printer to
the IP address and accepted the more recent and existing dj 1075 driver and it
worked fine for a while. The second time was a result of a network server
migration along with a profile change. When the first method didn't work I
deleted all the old ports to this printer, downloaded the dj1074en.exe and ran
a clean software installation. When I was asked to choose the drivers I opted
for the 1074 instead of the 1075. So far so good. Hope this may help others
whose 1220c goes flaky.
