After I was finished using the batch plot utility yesterday a noticed that
when I use the open or saveas commands I do not get the dialog boxes just
command line requests. I thought that maybe the batch plot utility had
changed a system variable or some other setting and it do not get set back
    to the default.

You should also look at CMDDIA, ATTDIA, ATTREQ by typing them in at the
    command prompt and hitting F1
