    Comma in dimension text?

Is there a way to have a comma in dimension text, WITHOUT using a text override? For example, dimensioning a line that is is one thousand feet long, is displayed in AutoCAD as 1000'. Is there a way for it to automatically display 1,000' - using the comma to mark the 'thousands' place?
    Please use plain text.
