Pen Standard Settings?

Are there standards for black and white drawings reguarding color, pen, pen width, and pen shading?

For example:
Magenta, color 6, pen 6, line width 0.010", shading 42%

Rather odd that they (apparently) have no spec for Color 7 (white/black),
which is probably the most commonly used color in AutoCAD.

You're right Paul, perhaps I should qualify my statements.
These conventions were given to me a few years ago when I started drafting
and all though they were given to me as International Standards, I have
never actually seen the document that they purport to be derived from. I
have had them confirmed by many different people in that time, however,
concensus of opinions does not make them facts. There were actually figures
for drafts 7, 8 + 9 in the original list but I have forgotten them as I have
not had a need to use them. If it is important for anyone to make sure of
the correct conventions I suggest they contact the Standards Association.

I believe one of these will show the correct info. They're a bit expensive
to buy about $80 each but you should be able to find them in a good
university library.
