Heap Error from text style request

I have installed Lt98 on windows 7 32 bit - I finally have everything working except when I go to text style I get heap error. When I pull up old drawings, the text style comes up, but not the right font - any thoughts?

You forgot to copy over the fonts from your old PC to the new one. Still
have the old PC?

I did copy my font files - I cannot get to text style to edit w/ out Heap Error. Do I need to put the fonts in any special location?

SHX fonts go into the FONTS subfolder found under the AutoCAD program
folder, TTF fonts must be installed in Windows and not just copied.

You also need to run Win7's XP Mode: only available in Win7Professional
series and Ultimate, not the crippled Home versions.

OK - I installed my missing font into windows and it now comes up correct in my drawings, but if I click on format/text style - I still get a heap error and shutdown. I also do not have a sub folder for fonts, but the fonts are correct. I can copy a text style, but not select the pulldown to change styles. I tried adding a toolbar button and got the same. Also, I am on XP compatability mode w/ Win 7 Pro.

Glad we fixed the font problem.

"heap" error is a system level problem that's been around forever with many
apps or your graphics/video card driver: you are welcome to explore at
Microsoft's website or through Google for fixes or tips. Search using the
exact error message Win7 gives you, just searching "heap" will give you to
many links to irrelevant material.
