Error in open .dxf files

A user here face problem in opening the .dxf files.

The original .dwg file can open/edit/save, but after convert it to .dxf file, the .dxf file cannot be opened and error message shown as below:

Error in BLOCK_RECORD Table
Invalid symbol table record name: "" on line 3840.
Invalid or incomplete DXF input -- drawing discarded.

This has been covered quite a few times in this very same
discussion group, the problem usually occurs when trying to BIND
an XREF. Pan down through the posts...
(hint: look for a post from Cook, Peter dated: 06/07/2001
and read the replies) or go to
http://discussion.autodesk.com and use the Search function
with a keyword of XREF.
