Converting 3D drawing to 2D drawing

Is there an easy way to convert a 3D drawing to a 2D drawing? I have a detail drawn in 3D with extrusions that I would like to have the south-west isometric view converted to a 2D drawing. Is this possible without having to redraw or trace the entire drawing?

Thanks,
Greg

If it's a single solid object, the command 'Solprof' works great (you can
get all the details in Help). It essentially projects a view of your solid
straight down onto z=0. So all you have to do is 3Drotate your solid into
your desired position while looking straight down on your drawing, i.e.
viewpoint 0,0,1; then run 'Solprof.'

If your model isn't a solid, the process becomes a little more difficult.
You might try using 'Flatten' (type FL at the command prompt) to force all
the individual entities onto z=0. From my experience though, it's almost
never a clean process. It doesn't seem to flatten everything it's supposed
to all the time, and you might need to do some trimming, etc.
