Is there any tutorial that shows how to create project including demonstration how to draw example elements - like riser to valves to tank ... I could not find what to draw first - PID or Model. I did start a project, but I have no idea how to actually draw it correctly. What is best philosophy or best technics that should be used?

A P&ID is usually the controlling document for the Plant. It defines the equipment, pipe sizes, specs, service and other variables that are required to build the plant. It lists all the valves, instrumentation everything. A Process Engineer is usually the person who might sketch this, then have it drawn by a P&ID designer.

From this, you create a model. The P&ID elements (lines and in-line fittings) can be drag-n-dropped from the P&ID into the model. As for layout, thats entirely dependant on the site, structure, etc. After this, you then get into doing Ortho drawings and Isometrics for production.

Right click on the project in Project Manager, and select Properties.

From this new window, expand the "P&ID DWG Settings" then go to "Line Settings" and look for the tick box down the bottom marked "Create ortho schematic lines"
