Piping Service Code

How do I set the service code on a line prior to running the 3D pipe? I am using Plant 3D 2012.

In the ribbon, when you click on the pulldown marked "Route New Line" if you have the Service setup in the Line Code, then you can input the service there. If not, then run the line, right click on it, and set it in the properties.

In reply to Tom's suggestion, here is some additioal information on the line group tags.

Configuring the service for the pipe run prior to routing would require a line number tag configuration in Project Setup similar to this:

Which allows the service to be set before routing the pipe:
