For me Autodesk isometric now is more configurable than isogen. The quality of layouts is better. Now I'm configuring isometric format in Plant3D for one of the biggest chemicals plants in Spain, where before they used isogen from pds, and isometric from Plant3D is 500% better than what they had before.
For example, dimesions, configuration of new blocks, anotations, all is posible to configure.
P.S. I'm not work in Autodesk
And Tell everyone how you did the settings to produce them, as well as what you had to do with the model data to make them work too.
This images is withut any editing. It's obiously that is necessary 10 minutes to make up, but it's problem is for all software.
Isogen generate all elements as blocks, Autodesk Isometrics all are objects of autocad, for example dimensions, where I can change it very simply, orientation, large , etc.
All blocks are editing very well and is posible to create new.
Cheers, those do look nice. The "block" thing in ISOGEN gets annoying with a lot of automation.
Naturally, just like ISOGEN getting the settings right requires an investment in time to understand what everything does. If you think about it, automated isometric generation has to be one of the most complex software tasks in the piping world so configuration isn't going to be simple either.
Looking for reply from Mr.ybogdanov & Mr.dgorsman, as the above are required in Erection front. Presently how could you manage with-out these feature?
Nearest grid display feature, welding gap display, and weight are highly imperative feature and how it was not envisaged by Autodesk in their isometric engine till date?
Unless providing the above information, the isometric can't be a full one in my opinion.
