FATAL ERROR at startup

Hi,

I keep getting the same fatal error when starting up AutoCad plant 3D 2011, at the very last stage of starting, I get a fatal error.

error started on monday and it still worked on fiday. We tried repair, reinstall, system restore

Nothing works.

the errors are like this:

e0b0f4abh

e16ef4abh

note the part 'f4abh' is returning part in the error messages.

Colleages on the same hardware don't have this problem.

machine:

HP Z400 Workstation

Intel Xeon CPU W3530 @2.8GHz 2.79 GHz

8gb ram

64bit

Many thanks in advance.

Jeroen

These kinds of issues can be difficult to diagnose (without first picking up your CER information), but I suggest disabling the welcome screen (Readme - Welcom Screen).

One thing to try,  in windows explorer double-click a DWG file that is not part of a plant 3d project.  That will bypass all the Plant specific loading.  I sometimes remove HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Autodesk\AutoCAD\R18.2\ACAD-A017:409 to reset my user profile (but I notice you said you reinstalled so that probably won't help).  If this continues, I'd recommend contacting your authorized reseller.

I haven't responded yet because I wouldn't want to say 'hey it works' and have it crashing again the day after 😛

Here is what we did: user must be admin on his computer, when IT specialists logged on and started up plant 3D it worked fine.

After being admin on their own machine we did the disable welcome screen you adviced, this worked for both machines.

We haven't tried going back to 'normal' user. after that.

Most important is, it works again.

 Thanks alot!
