AutoCAD Plant 3D

Since the 2012 version is almost here. I re-installed the autocad Plant 2011 demo version to suggest it to my superiors. Currently we do not use programs of this kind.

One of the things that I should demonstrate is that we will be able to use our blocks library.

To do this I decided to create a metric Project and create a custom part

The steps that I followed are:

• Inserted the block
• Convert the block using the plantpartconverter command
• Created the Custom Part using the plantcustompart command
• Completed the settings
• Inserted the custom part

 The problem that I have is that I can not connect any other element to the custom part created

I followed the steps suggested on the help and I do not find what I am doing wrong.

In the window of t'he first picture change mm to inch, and end type to PL. And then use t'he same spec (cs150).

Hi,

I have a same issue and I did what you mention here. but how can I change type of spec when I import custom block.
