    Crashes

I have started writting down each time autocad crashes.

since Nov 15,2012 to now a total of 29 crashes.

what I have noticed is that 31% ( 9 ) crashes are just shutting down autocad.

save drawing, click the big red x - boom crash.

Any ideas on the nature of this type of crash? - obviously not impacting work.

but that is a large percentage.  next down from shutting down the computer is crashes when doing Orthos @ 14% ( 4 )

    the rest are all singularities.

    John.

    Hi,

The first thing to check is the driver version of your graphics card:

    Graphics Hardware

Also, if you do not have the service pack installed you should go ahead and do so:

    Service Pack

If the crash still occurs try testing in diagnostic more to try and pinpoint any conflict:

    Diagnostic Mode

If the crash does not occur in diagnostic mode then you can systematically enable the various services and/or startup programs to try and find what is causing the conflict.

    Thanks,
    Dan

Downgraded the graphics card, must have updated it when I formatted the computer and reinstalled.

    service pack does not work.

maybe the graphics card issue may have fixed that.. will test

    Diag mode worked fine ^
