Hi to Everyone, are there possibility to connect a Pipe to a Xreferenced Pipe in a Model.?
I want to say...
I got some Equipment with own pipe and tried to connect a Output to a Manifold independ of the area for example a Drain with Stub.In
I know the possibility to do with Flanges and coupling but not with Stub.In.
do you know how?!...
Thanks.!!

XREF connecting works fine between Equipment to Piping, and Piping to Piping.
Are you connecting to NODE of the XREF'd model?

thanks for your replay, but my problem is..
I got a Area A and has a Output Drain Manifold of ND1000, and this Manifold crossing Area B, to the end, after Manifold get the end I got a Equipment that need to do a Vertical STUB-IN of ND500 on xref Manifold of Area A.
Mater Piping of Area A is Xref to see Manifold ND1000 in Master Piping Area B.
I need to do Stub-In, not Flanged, Coupled.........

I'd run the stubin in the first model to the first fitting, then continue the xref from there?

I think that this is big problem. Not only for stub in, also for o-lets or tees, it seam that Plant3D does not make connection through xref files.
It like, that You must in advance plan Yours piping arrangement.
We have a lot of problems with this issue..
Just imagine , as e.g.
We have two drawings, it is standard structure when You have Plant Revamp:
one drawing with Old Pipes,
and another drawing with New Pipe system.
Then We have some interconnecting pipes, with different diameters, and we hope that plant will add connections automatically according branch connection table for classes that We use in project...BUT WRONG
NO CONNECTION ACROSS XREF FILES

It does connect through XREF, you can connect to fittings from other Piping XREF's, and Equipment XREF's

Yes you are right we can connect a Pipe to other xRef Pipe with fittings, flanges and in the end of the pipe with node of xref pipe, I dont know if later work good in ISOs, but
YOU CAN NOT CONNECT A PIPE TO OTHER XREF PIPE WITH A STUB-IN AT HALF OF XREF PIPE.
Undertand now Tomislav Golubovic???
thanks!

Ok,
Yes , it is true ...It possible to connect to fitting on xref model..
but, it is SO COMPLICATE, because you must plan your model, with fittings on right place, for connection.
It seam that, if You have team of 4 or more designer, become more , and more complicated, to work..
much easy if You do not have need for xref model.

p.s This discussion make another question. I put this in another, let say , new post
