valves not fitting with flanges

I seem to be unable to connect a flange to a flanged ball valve and vice versa. I can create the flange by adding pipe after the ball valve. The port connections are both raised flanges with the same nominal diameter. There a message that says don't fit. I have also tried to use connect componet to adjacent and it says something about connection ports not being the same.

Any more info? Does this happen with any spec? Any project?

I can not connect a flange to a flange valve (without bolts and a gasket). The only way around that was to start the pipe from the flanged valve and let Autoflange take care of the rest. But when I want to connect 2 flanged objects together it does not work even if they have the same end, facing, and nominal diameter.

Do I need to create a new joint type? Or create an autogasket(kinda like autoflange)?

And this happens with my custom specs and possibly with the regular specs.
