using robot for pipe support analysis

our firm is fairly new to plant 3d, & not very familiar with robot yet either. I was wondering if we could use autodesk Robot for analysis on the plant 3D pipe supports? or is it just for "structural members" from the structural package only?

I'm not sure if I understand you correctly. If you want to run Robot from 'inside' of Plant 3D then that is not possible. On the other hand you can model the support either as solid, shell or bar type model inside Robot and analyze it.

Thank you very much - You did answer my question.  You can't use the supports built into P3D in Robot - that's what I wanted to know!!!
