remove a nozzle from a vessel?

Is it possible to remove a nozzle from a 3D vessel or tank.

I cannot find help on this issue anywhere. The help file says you can only modify the tank but not nozzles.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Mark

If you are using Plant 3D 2012, it has a new selection mode for the nozzles. You have to hold down the CTRL key and then click on a nozzle to select it. Then press the delete key or use ERASE command.

Thank you,

I can't seem to get to the "edit" dialog box to edit a nozzle size of a pump. I see the edit pencil but can't get the dialog to come up?

Thanks in advance

Try pressing the CTRL key when you click on the pump also?

Now I have a vessel I didn't create, It has nozzles I can delete but the flanges on the nozzle are like blocked to the vessel?

Any ideas?

Hi.

Please excuse any inconvenience caused, but I have a issue where I select the nozzle and press Delete and nothing happens.

In the command box it shows that one item has been deleted, but that is not the case, none of the nozzles on my tanks can be deleted, only edited.

I just noticed that this is a post from 2012, but this is the only forum I can find which has the same subject as the one I am interested in.

I am currently working on the Plant3D 2017 software package.

Regards

are you holding down the CTRL key on the keyboard before you select it? that will allow you then to delete it.

Thanks for the reply.

Yes I am, It works with my second tank. The one in particular does not allow me to remove nozzles, only allowing me to edit existing nozzles as well as add.

I had the same problem I thought but problem was I could not directly select the nozzle.  I moved equipment out of the way and then I could select nozzle directly.  Now I could hit the delete key and the nozzle was removed.  So you have to pick the actual nozzle and not the equipment and then try and pick the nozzle.  Thanks a bunch for this post!

@nagarajandesignengineer  " Can't find a part in the current spec. " error . To slove this error you need to add the flange same as nozzle propertires like facing, class, diameter and end code.
