<Urgent> How to inset coupling??? How!!

Hi, I'm June

I want to use a sw half coupling from the ASME catalogue to make a branch.

I can do the connection on the branch table setup dialogue, but when I want to use it, it says that it is not valid for those diameters. I need to connect a 1/2" SW half coupling to a 2" pipe.

The project is in metric units, with diameters in inches and all options in default.

Can anyone help???

June,

Have you tried selecting the half coupling using the Spec Viewer?  If you click on it up in the ribbon near the Line to pipe command, it will bring up a dialog box.  From here you can select the half coupling in your pipe spec and at the bottom select which size and at the very bottom, hit insert into model.  This will allow you to place it anywhere in the model including on the side of the pipe.  Hope this helps.
