Hello!
i would like to change the "item code" ( in german the "Obektcode) in a catalog.
but i cannot find it. it only show's up when i add a part to a spec.
it must be possible to change it in a catalog, because for example: if i download the additional content pack:
Georg-Fischer-PVC-C-PVC-U-ABS-Content-Pack\GF PVC Pipes and Fittings Catalog.pcat
the item code is allready completed in this catalog.
thanks for your help.
greetings from austria, Mario

Hallo Mario,

Schönes WE

Hallo Mario,
Hi Mario,
This is a very rare case that I have to contradict to Hartmut. It is definitely possible to add or modify the item code of a component afterwards. Therefore open the catalog via SQLite Database Browser or SQLite Expert Personal. Here open the table 'EngineeringItems'. There you will find the column 'Item Code'. Just double-click here and you can add or modify the value here (see snapshot: http://screencast.com/t/gsxoUUTxN).

Bernd
Hallo Bernd!
Vielen Dank!
Funktioniert super.
schönen Tag noch!
Hi Bernd!
Thx very much! that's what i was looking for. now i can delete the item-codes from the downloaded catalogs.
works perfect!
have a nice day!
Mario

Hello Hermann!
thank you for the info. with excel it works too.
Sorry but does someone mind translating to English as this topic would be helpful to me to.
Thanks.
Hi "eadkins73"!
in short summery, some catalogs for example "Georg Fischer" catalogs, have item-codes. in the Spec editor its not possible to change the item-code in a catalog, you can change them only in a spec.
so i asked for solutions.
one solution is from "gersteb". open the catalog in an sql editor and change or delete the item-code.
one solution is from "Hermannsemlitsch5177". export the catalog into excel change the item-code and import it again.
hope that helps you! greetings, Mario
