Tank Type Selection List

Can this selection list, TankTypes, not be edited?  And another thing, every tank i place in the model is auto-assigned the subtype as GeneralVessel and I found that I can change that via the Properties, but I don't have every for example the selection for Horizontal Tank.  I would like that as an option so seems I should be able to add it to this TankTypes selection list.

So back to the first question, can this list be edited? because for me the Add Row button is greyed out.

And I found that if I change the subtype to Barrel Drum, for example, and then edit a nozzle or add a nozzle or change anything, it returns back to General Vessel. Is there a "way" to make the change stick?

Is this the property you're referring to? (see attached image). There's no selection list here.

Is this AutoCAD Plant 3D 2014? Extension 2?

Is this on a new default OOTB project or one you've made lots of setup changes to?

Is there a way you could step us through this a little more clearly, screenshots perhaps, of what you're doing and what you're after. Posting an image of the selection list you're looking at may be a good idea. This approach may help in getting a better response from the Plant 3D community.

In the Plant 3D Class Definitions, goto Equipment/Tank and select LIST under the heading Property Type, then select Edit.  There you will see the TankTypes Selection Set list.  That is used when assigning the PartSubType in the Properties of a tank placed in 3D.  See the attached DOCx.

Yes, it does appear that the OOTB list there is locked down. How about creating a "New Selection List" as a workaround? Add the Horizontal Bulk Tank to the new list along with any others you wish to include.

Martin, I think you are missing the connection here.  As I showed in the attached doc file, when assigning the PartSubType in the Properties of a tank in the 3D model, the list of PartSubTypes comes from the TankTypes selection list.  So just creating another list doesn't "show up".  It appears it is hard coded somewhere for the PartSubType to only read that specific TankTypes list.  I can't delete the list and rebuild it, and I don't see a way to append another list of my making to show up in the properties of the tank under PartSubType.

Ok, 2015 seems to have fixed the problem in that it doesn't force me to pick from the Tank_Type Selection List when assigning the part type in the 3D model.
