Section Volume, what is the point?

I can create a section volume in a 3d view, but what is the point. All it does is put a pretty little box in the view that you can resize and move around. It does not cut out any objects to aid in viewing the area you are working on.

If I am missing something and the Section Volume does work as it should and I am missing it, please help!!!

Hi Kaiser

It does, but can you give me a example on how it should look like?
This can be done in several way, since you also can use the basic AutoCAD command for your views.

Can you please attach a typical example? That will help me a lot to see exact what you looking for.
