Plant 3D Export

Hello All,

I have some clients that do not have Autodesk Software and were wondering if I could export my models to any Bentley software such as Microstation or PDS or even PDMS? I am currently running 2014 Plant 3D. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hello there,

We have software which can bring files from other plant design software to AutoCAD Plant 3D and also export AutoCAD Plant 3D to PDMS with graphics and intelligent data.

have you tried just running the "export" command? you can export to a whole bunch of different file types, such as microstation, STP, iges, etc. etc.

Those are all "dumb" formats which strip away any piping data.  In most cases clients looking to utilize PDMS, SmartPlant, or other software are looking to retain all of the intelligence so it doesn't need to be re-modelled in the format of choice.
