Hi, ImraanL, and thanks for your post.
We cannot make a public announcement about the release of the new product line until it is officially released. When the product is released and is available to the public, I will post the news here and through various social media outlets.
Our team is working hard to make quality Plant products... stay tuned!
All the best,
Eileen
woop woop woop ding ding ding honk honk honk...
alarm bells are ringing all over the autodesk village...some silly bugga is asking about release info again...better send out the agents of doom and hush this trouble maker up...we cant have sensative info like that just floating around our customer base...
lol....shhhh its a secret...they arent allowed to tell us
Hi richos69.
Thanks for the levity and sound effects! Does my response really sound so gloomy and doomy? Not my intention. It's just that, as I said, we cannot announce a product launch before it launches. Don't mean to rain on anyone's parade. Hope you all understand.
Sorry Eileen, I wasnt refering to your post (I hadnt read your post when i did mine...you must have typed faster and hit the post button before me).
Your post was pretty much what I was expecting as an official Autodesk response.
PS ImraanL.....first pass customers are reportedly due to get there plant 2012 shiped, starting from next week...with the suites to follow after that.
At least thats the rumour i heard anyway.
I'm work in firme which distribute products of Autodesk and a few weeks ago we received the list of all programs of Plant Design Suite 2012. For my taste themost expensive suite lack Robot. I mentioned in a post but it was delete, so I guess it will secret information ... lol.
the 2012 plant suites won't be released till later

Now when are they going to OFFICIAL say that its been released and give us all the docs etc telling what new features there are ( am waiting on our suite box to arrive got the plain P3D box already)

lol, thanks to explain. But I don't understand why you have recieved the new version and in the oficial site is don't appear... You are from USA, isn't it? Usually you have the tings before others jejeje.
Sorry m8...I aint no sepo
Australian
Ive only got the plain plant 3d program, expect the suites to arrive soon.
Company I work for has many licences, across offices, Australia wide.
Autodesk treats its bigger clients as 'first pass customers'...the bigger companies & resellers get things sent to them first, then the full docs suites etc filter out after that to the smaller resellers and customers.
If 2012 plain plant has arrived in the mail here, I would say it wont be long before the official announcments and download availability comes online.
Ok. My firm is the gold partner of Aurodesk and the one of the biggest in Spain. But now the office is in the holyday... I hope that in September finally I will have the next release.
My company has a subscription package on Plant 3D and I was able to download Plant 3D 2012 yesterday via http://subscription.autodesk.com
I am currently at the Adriatic coast so I will try it when I come back.
Can someone post what is new in P3D 2012?

You are welcome!
If you manage, please post changes that you see in this release. I'm away for some time from my Office and on mobile Internet so I can't test the P3D.
As soon as new software is available and we are legally allowed to do so, we make every effort to let our customers know of the availability and the details about any new functionality or capabilities. Please watch this forum as well as others such as the AutoCAD Plant Exchange for any announcements. Thanks.
