Piping Connection Settings

I am using 2013,  and what I am trying to do is allow Pressure Class 125lb flanges to connect to Pressure Class 150lb flanges (and allowing it to connect to valves), since in the field they will connect because bolt holes and dia are the same.

I have gone into the project setup, gone to the Plant3D DWG Settings> Piping Connection Settings, and from the joint setup dialog box and tired to modify all the required and option fields. Have yet to be succesful.

Does anyone know how to change these to allow different pressure classes or other values to be interconnected?

Hi Can you post the screen shot of the settings you did in the project setup?

go to your joint settings....find the FL to FL joint

click modify, you will see pressure class with a ticked box saying somthing like required match.

if you detick, it will give you a warning when you try to do this kind of connection but still allow it to connect. if you completely remove the pressure class from the reequired matches field, you will just be able to make connections regrdless of pressure class...NB I do not recommend complete removal

Go To piping connection settings, select your FL to FL joint.   Select Modify, select Pressure class under property matches. Click Matching values, enter 125, 150.
