P3D Settings

I have a couple issues regarding settings for Plant 3D and wonder if anyone has solutions...

1) Tool Pallet - How and the heck do you permanantly turn it off so it will not reappear on the screen whenever you restart P3D or change menus?  I know how to manually open the tool pallet if needed but most of the time it is just an annoyance.  (I know you can turn it off using CTRL-3 but I would rather that it doesn't appear unless I want it to).

2) When performing a LOFT operation is there a way to automatically select "RULED" as the default instead of having to manually select that option each and every time?  Ruled is the only option I ever use.

These are 2 things I cannot seem to find any info on or solutions for so I truly appreciate any help to relieve these daily annoyances.

Thanks,

Chuck

With Plant 3D, the toolpalettes will always be turned on when AutoCAD starts up despite workspace settings. I think the only way around it would to be some sort of lisp or macro to call the toolpalettesclose command after AutoCAD starts up.

I usually create macros for a button or toolpalette to change default command behavior.

Edwin has a great series on how to create new buttons.

HI Chuck,

The default setting for ruled on lofted objects can be set through the system variable LOFTNORMALS:

Thank you,
