Moving Ortho Generated Viewports

after you create a new view with the ortho creator and you need to move the viewport, is there any special command you are supposed to use? if you simply use the move command when you update the view every thing gets shifted to its original spot.

seems to be that you are stuck with the first place you put the viewport which is not always the best place. if you have not annotated anything then this is not a big deal but once you have diminensioned and annotated everything in paperspace it can be a pain.

I was able to test this using AutoCAD Plant 3D 2014 Ext 2 and I was able to move the viewport, with annotations and dimensions. When I moved the view it updated without any issues. By chance did you rotate any of your viewports once they were generated?

I was able to look into this further for you and it seems this is a limitation with ortho views at this time. In the the Plant 3D help there is a note that states, "The update command does not update layout/paper space elements such as dimensions and annotations." So, this is why your dimensions and annotation do not update with the shifting of the ortho view. There is actually an enhacement request with the development team to look further into this. Also, if you wish to give you feedback as well please feel free to leave it here at this link.
