Lines pipes with Victaulic couplings

Hello,

I have a mining project were Rubber lined lines are used and pipes are connected with victaulic couplings. We use flexible (style 77) and zero-flex (style 07) couplings.

I am looking for a way to obtain the final pipe cut length on the isometrics.

Roughly, the configuration of a clamped joint would be:

1- Pipe #1

2- 3mm of rubber lining on pipe #1

3- 3 mm gap

4- 3mm of rubber lining on pipe #2

5- Pipe #2

Has anybody tackeled ths issue?

Thanks

I have experience with some custom rubber lined specs and also Victaulic

Can you draw a sketch of the cut length w/ spacing you are expecting?

The main objective is to put the dimensions on the cut length of the pipes.

So, we have:

  1. the end of pipe #1
  2. 3mm of rubber linning on pipe #1
  3. 3mm gap
  4. 3mm of rummer linning on pipe #2
  5. end of pipe #2

The required dimension is the pipe cul length. See the attached sketch. Note the we are using standard dimensions for all Victaulic fittings

I am almost there. I created a new clamped joint connection which requires a clamp and a gasket. The gaskets has the ID and OD of the pipe and has a total thichness of 9 mm to represent the 2x 3mm of rubberlining and the 3mm gap. I identified in the gasket description the shows in the bill of material that the gaskets are not required.

Thanks

Antoine

that is how we have tackled Victaulic (gasket as connecting piece). We set the gasket to have status 'existing' therefore it is not reported in the BOM (if you have existing items reporting switched off).
