Line List from the 3D Model

Hello guys, a little help here!

With the Report Creator, I created a Line List to get this data from the 3d model.

For the “LineNumberTag” is working fine, but now I would like to associate the proprieties “from” and “to”, like the P3D already does with isometric generation appearing the line's origin and destination.

I know that there is a propriety “to” and “from” in the PID Classes, but this will only work when I already have a PID, which is not the case.

So my question is, what is the propriety that I need to include to get this “to” and “from” proprieties directly from the line in the 3d model?

There is not a specifiy existing property that you can select for the TO and FROM instance you are seeing when you generate an Iso. The Iso generation process gathers information in a specific way. The Iso is then able to acquire the connections to the pipe line of the iso that are not part of the 3D model regarding To and From.

Hi everyone,

When you edit an isometric, you can extract the connections of the pipe from the PCF file. However, there is no way to know the TO and FROM.

That would be very helpfull if Autodesk could develop a tool which link the flow arrow direction to a TO and FROM property.

I have drawn something like 600 lines for a client, and for each of these lines, i had to write the to and from in a property i have created.

Daniel, the best way for you might be to create the properties TO and FROM. Then to fulfill an excel with the information and import it on P3D (depends on the number of lines you have).

The suggestion you gave is very good, but we're looking for something a little different.

We're trying to create a way to build some kind of report that will get from the 3d model the propriety "to" and "from" of all "line number tag".

With this information in hand we'll be able to confront the report and the Line List provided by our client and see if the lines in the 3d model are connected to the correct destination.

The first way that I thought to do this is creating a Line List like I described on the first post. But now I'm out of ideas, kkkk...

Thinking a little more, your idea of working with the PCFs files could completely fulfil our needs. It will be a little bit more painful, but will work!

If I export the PCFs of all lines in the 3D model with the excell I will be able isolate the itens that I need to create the List and make the verifications!
