I'm currently modeling an existing facility on their plant coordinate system. This coordinate system happens to be skewed 3.75 degrees off True North.
I initially thought that customizing my UCS to compensate for the 3.75 degree angle would allow for modeling in a true X,Y,Z environment, and it will. However, when I customize my UCS, the coordinates are not the same as they are on the World Coordinate System (WCS).
Is there another method of orientation that would allow for the same coordinates on the iso as WCS?
Thanks in advance.
In 2014 Ext 1, it's in the project settings. Isometric DWG > Advanced Defaults, and you can set it according to the iso style you want to use.
You can, but you have to do it each time you generate isos.
I recommend doing all the piping, setting up the isometrics, test iso'ing each line. Then when you are ready to run everything, run the prodution isos, click advanced, and then set it. The only isos that really need coordinates correct are the ones you're going to issue.
