Grating orientation

Is there a way to change the orientation of the grating when you make a 3d plate with the grating hatch?

I'm having problems with that too!  I tried to rotate the grating after I created it, but it really likes the orientation it started with... I created another GRATE_90 degree hatch in the .pat & can easitly get a regular ACAD hatch pattern, but I can't create a plate/grate from it (or even find it in the list to change the property of an existing grating).

So...  Since the program would not let me use my GRATE_90 hatch pattern to create a grate (even though ACAD likes it), I ended up revising one of the hatch patterns (TRANS) that they WOULD let me use:

*GRATE_90, Grated area 90 deg
0, 0,0, 0,.125
90, 0,0, 0,.03125

*TRANS, Grated area 90 deg
0, 0,0, 0,.125
90, 0,0, 0,.03125

;;
;;original: (I revised *TRANS to be a 90 degree grate)
;;*TRANS, Heat transfer material
;;0, 0,0, 0,.25
;;0, 0,.125, 0,.25, .125,-.125
;;

Not a "grate" fix, but it works... 🙂
