GF+ PE Pipe and fittings

Hello

I  work in Autocad Plant 3D 2012 and I need to use GF+  PE Pipe and Fittings catalogue to create specs. Does anyone has faced this problem as me before.

Best wishes...

Not sure about other people.. but I found most of the specs are missing too much to be useful.

so I made my own specs after modeling all the fittings needed.

i think in the GF catalog PVC there are some problemes

for diameter 63 for exemple when we generate iso or in the line name it says "63mm" not only "63" it's a big probleme for us because we cant use the spec wtih mm at the end of diameter... any idea ?

Message 8 of 12

Hi,

Please update the "NominalDiameterMap.csv" in your AutoCAD Plant3D root directory. To do that, Please download the attached file and replace existing file under "C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD Plant 3D 2012 - English\".

Note:  It is a good practice to back up the existing file before replacing it with the updated
version.

Thanks & Regards,

Hello

other problem the csv file works fine but how it works with the nozle or steel valve

for exemple we have GF pipe and flange in 110mm but we use socle buterfly valve in nd100 in the reality it works but autocad doesn't want to combine these component ..

any idea ?

Hi,

In AutoCAD Plant3D we use end connection rule to connect the parts. You can change the rule in the project settup -> End connections.

e.g. Pipe + fittings+ valves looking for same ND to connect the parts.

To fix your problem, Go to Catalog editor and change the ND size to 110 and update the same part in your spec and use it.

Thanks & Regards,

GF has nice working libraries/specs/catalogs for PDMS and SmartP3D. They say they have AutodeskPlant3D in their radar but cannot give a timeline.

https://bim.gfps.com/

Is anybody in Autodesk following this up. Plant3D is falling way back in the race.
