Since Autodesk does not provide any "how-to" support, does anyone know if there is any place that you can call in and speak with someone on how to do something? I have already asked our reseller and they do not offer any type of support for Plant 3D either. It is very frustrating to work in a program when you can't get the help you need. I am at a loss and being able to call someone at any given time would be greatly beneficial.
You are unlikely to get that level of service for free, anymore than you would provide unending project work for the same price. Basic questions can be asked here in the forum. You might try ECAD for more involved/direct technical support, while if you are on subscription that will get you a certain level of AutoDesk support as well.
If your reseller doesn't provide Plant 3D support, you may qualify for support through http://www.plant3dsoftware.com Login and submit a ticket and they will let you know if you qualify. You will need your company name and serial number in order for them to validate your subscription status and reseller information.
Here are two excellent and Free “How-to” resources that contain a wealth of information.
Autodesk University has material and videos from numerous past classes available for free online.
Search the classes for Plant 3D.
And the Plant Exchange website has an Autodesk Plant Solutions Learning Resources page.
http://autocad.autodesk.com/?nd=plant_online_help2
The free courseware available there for example is hundreds of pages of tutorials and training.
Add to this the many excellent blogs and other online resources available from our Reseller Partners and friends, a person could lock themselves up in a room with Plant 3D for weeks and not come out (though people may talk).
