Does anyone out there have any experience with filler rings? When connecting a raised face metal flange to a plastic flange, filler rings are required so the plastic flange doesn't crack while tightening the bolts. I'm tying to figure out the best way to do this since they're not required on all flange connections. I was thinking maybe a second flange that calls out "W/ FILLER RINGS" or something like that. Also trying to figure out if there's a way to do it with CONNECTORS so that it's more automated. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated....
We have just went in and manually added the "W/ FILLER RING" to the description in the properties. But if you wanted to do it automaticall you would probably have to define a new connection type.
