Feedback from our site ppl to Management

We received a positive feedback from our site people about using Navisworks freedom at site for viewing the 3d model created in Plant space.

They have requested the following features in Navisworks freedom:

1. Direct reading of elevation of pipe

2. Flow direction of pipe.

The point 1 of above I had already requested here, as there is no direct and exact method to read the elevation of pipe in Navisworks, and from Navisworks team I had received a reply that the object enabler coding to be done by Plant3d team, requesting here the update of the status. I am sure, this will help all the users of Plant3d.

We are going to be releasing a plugin (from the app store or our own store) that publishes all custom properties from Plant to Navisworks.  The elevations will be included from the custom properties.

I take it this will be something similar to "NWCOUT", creating an NWC file from the Plant3D model?

No, it's a plugin in Navisworks, so any Plant model you have open in Navisworks will be able to have the properties attached. From that point, you can create an NWD or save the info in the nwf.
