Error with Paste Special AutoCAD Entities

Hi,

when using Paste Special-Paste Link-AutoCAD Entities with an xcel table, when using Scale Command to this table the Table Breaks don't display correctly when you re-open the file after saving and closing it.

Tried this in a few different drawings and in two projects and endup with the same result.

Any ideas ?

thanks

Have you tried purging existing blocks in your drawing..?

yes and after Purge we endup with the same result.

Also we noticed that there's no way to remove the Excel Data Link from the EXTERNAL REFERENCES tab. I don't know if this has something to do with the issue too.

Hi Alvaro,

I cannot reproduce this here.

Would it be possible for you to upload an example spreadsheet that I can use to test with?

Thanks,
Dan

Hi Alvaro,

OK, have figured out what is happening now.

When you scale the table and then reduce the height, the overflow section of the table reverts the current table style defined in the product rather than the table style defined in Excel. As you mention, the change occurs when the drawing is saved, closed and reopened.

You should be able to solve this by setting the current table style to use the required settings with regard to font and justification.

This should not be happening so I will log the issue with our development team.

Thanks,
Dan

Hi Alvaro,

A better workaround is to insert the table using a data link and uncheck the Use Excel formatting option.

Here is a short screen cast showing this method:

Excel Datalink

Thanks,
Dan
