I am trying to create a custom valve but, as soon as I save to the catalog, the "Edit Operator Assignments" button becomes greyed out which means I cannot assign operators. I am creating the custom valve (Valvebody) from "Plant3D Parametric Graphics". Any help would be appreciated.
Martin, thanks for your reply. I had a look at the relevant PDF's but, could not see anything which could disable the "Edit Operator Assignments" Button.
Thanks Vwry Much Martin
it;s really useful Reference3

Look at several of the out of the box (OOTB) valves. Notice how some allow you to "Edit Valve Operator" and others don't (check valves for example). It's not universal. This command is not applicable to all valves.

Hi Martin,
The custom valve I have created is a Y-Pattern globe valve. I looked at the valve catalogue and all globe valves have the "Edit Operator Assignments" button enabled. Valves which do not have the button enabled are valves which do not require operators but, this is not the case with my custom valve.
It may help if you review the materials from AU and go through the custom valve creation process again, starting with an existing valve that works and modify from there.
Martin,
There is no existing Y-Pattern valve in the catalogue to use as a basis for creating a new valve. Where would I find the materials from AU?
See my first response for some AU links. Also, to get a better response from the discussion group here, you could outline that steps you took in detail.
