Connecting pipes and fittings with minor differences in x or y

Hello

when I use _.plantpipeadd I can draw a line between fittings with a difference of 0.0001 mm for example. (Where these differences come from I'm wondering every time)

When I try to connect two parts with the same difference using plantconnectjoint, it does not work.

So I have to delete the pipe and insert it again... :-(

What is to do?

I too need solution for this, even 0.5mm difference causing pipe and fitting disconnection. Where to set the tolerence?

We are having the same issue with imperial units. The added aggravation is that when units are set to Architectural 1/16" precision, you won't see the 0.0001 difference in X or Y.

Some of our designers give up when the pipe won't connect to the fitting and tell me to fix it. Half an hour later the simple 2" elbow to pipe connection if fixed, and all that time wasted for a dimension that a pipe fitter/welder would never see.

I have been waiting for reply from Autodesk PPl, but asusual no reply.

We need more interaction from Autodesk ppl also here, if you find only users are sharing their views.

If you want to develop the software, please keep interacting here.

You'll need to play with th joint settings in the DefaultConnectorsConfig.xml in the project folder. Each joint has an Offset and Slope tolerance.  You can play with these values and see if it clears up your issues.

Is this a buttweld joint? Can you post your connectors config file?

As Dave said: Can you send us the connectors config file? Also the information what kind of joint you have used?

i have had this issue and the only way i can get them to connect is to move one of the parts to the X or Y of the other part that is off using Point Filters.

Sorry for my late reply here. Attached the requested file.

The joint connection tolerance required is for Buttweld.

I tried, but it is not getting connected.
