Can't find symbol for specified part (P3D 2012)

For one of our work stations we have with P3D 2012 a job was started, specs was created, but when we try to add parts from the specs into the drawing or create equipment using P3Ds built in function, it gives an error of "Can't find symbol for specified part".  When we open that project on anothe workstation, everything works fine.

We keep our catalogue on a network location then copy/replace to "C:/AutoCAD Plant 3D 2012 Content" before creating our specs.  The project, drawings, specs are all stored on network location.

the only thing that is different between the work stations is that the one that works has P3D 2012 and Autocad 2012, while the work station that is having issues has P3D 2012 and Autocad 2008 (could this have contributed to the problem)?

what could be our problem?

thanks

Prove to change the directory of the catalogs:

Write:

REGEDIT in the run windows

Key Name:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Autodesk\AutoCAD\R18.2\ACAD-9017:409\Variables\PLANTCONTENTFOLDER
or use the command in Plant3D: PLANTMODIFYSHAREDCONTENTFOLDER

Just tried both with no success... our IT person is going to uninstall and reinstall P3D on that workstation to start.

thanks for your reply

uninstalled all Autodesk products in that work station, reinstall only P3D 2012 seems to have done the trick.
