Calculation of pipework system volumes

Hi,

Does anyone know if its possible to calculate the volume of pipework in a system in P3D?

Any plug-in or other recommended software?

thanks

I do not know if there is another way, but I would do the following.
Just as there is a property "weight", I add a new property "volume".
Then trying to work with this information in Excel.

Just isolate all the pipes and fittings you need and get their mass properties. they are solid models right?

Hi Michael,

This is currently not possible on a straight way. I have logged here an enhancement request to our development department for you.

Currently you have the options to export the Pipes and Pipe Bends to Excel and calculate there a new field called 'Volume' which is the product of 'Cut Length' and 'Nominal Diameter'.

To use MASSPROP here you have to explode the pipes and pipe bends before. So it is not a useful option here.

Bernd
