Blind flange tap port

I'm using P3D 2014 Ext.2.

I can extend a 3/4" pipe from the center of the blind flange without issue, but I cannot connect a 3/4" male plain end (MPE) valve to the blind flange.  My valve has an end code of PL, which is the same as the pipe, so I was thinking it should work. 

The only way I've been able to do it is to first place a sockolet on the flange, but that's not how we do it.

Is it just a connection setting I need to adjust?

I would like to know also. We use the gate olet type valves that do not require an olet.

I should have updated this thread.  Below is the result I received from offline support on the issue.
