Hello,
On the "Autodesk® AutoCAD® Plant 3D 2014 Extension 2" subscription webpage, there's a link to a "Readme - English (htm - 24Kb)".
This readme is the one of Extension 1... (see attached)
Could you please correct ?
Regards,
Alexandre Devos
I was hopeful that the 'Ortho bug' in creating projects from a project template would have been fixed in this extension, but it wasn't.
Overview of Ortho Bug:
I created a new project using no template, just the Default. The Ortho folder created correctly as: Project 1 from Default \ Orthos \ with three subfolders off of Orthos: DWGs, Orthocube Library, and Styles.
Then I created a new project using as the project template the project first created using the Default that I just created. The second project then had the folder structure: Project 2 \ Orthos \ DWGs \ with three subfolders off of DWGs: DWGs, Orhtocube Library, and Styles.
Peter, could you elaborate on the fixed pipe length ? I don't seem te get it to work !!
Looking at the Extension 2 iso updates, I noticed in the documentation there's an example for the LayoutOptimization settings in the updated xml file. The example shows the "TargetPercentage" variable for DimensionOptimization and AnnotationOptimization. The number is supposed to represent percentage, but one is shown as "25" and the other is shown as "0.25". Is this correct? Or is it a typo? See attached png.
ok, got the fixed pipe length working, you need to set the 'use fixed length' parameter in the Edit Parts table in Spec Editor. And you'll need to switch of the update from catalog optin for that field. I didn't find the property in Catalog Editor
After installing Ext2 in Plant3D 2014 Ext1 I cannot to open the program, FATAL ERROR.
I reinstall Plant3D and turn to install Ext2 and I have the same problem. I use English version 64bits.
You don't have to install Ext 1 before Ext 2. It should install on RTM 2014 or on Ext 1. If you've manally replaced any DLLs for hotfixes, put the originals back before installing.
Hello Peter,
I kindly ask again if you could correct the readme of Extension 2 which points to readme of Extension 1.
See the second post of this topic (http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/AutoCAD-Plant-3D/AutoCAD-Plant-3D-2014-Extension-2-posted-on-Subscript...)

regards to isometrics, has the error with flush bushings been addressed? ( sch 40 pvc ) They do not generate since there are negative lengths involved with the geometry.
Jason Drew is familar with the issue.
John.
So I need to open a case to Technical Support to get the readme ?
Why don't you answer to my question so it benefits to a bigger number of person ?

Hi,
I'm using Autocad Plant 3D 2014 and I'm getting an error when I'm creating a new drawing.
Thank you
I did not find the toggle 'use fixed length' in Catalog editor, so you cannot switch it on there. If you switch the toggle in Spec Editor, it works fine., but when you run an update from catalog to spec, the toggle will be switched off again (I guess that's the default value in the catalog). So if you eliminate this field from the update, you can keep the value as set in spec Editor.
is it possible that extension 2 doesn't install when SP1 is installed ?
