AutoCAD P&ID 2013...how to create flips and rotations on P&ID symbols

Hi guys,

Is there anyone that has come across this or found a solution. Our company has recently moved onto P&ID and I have been given the task of creating the project template file.

My question is 'How do you add flip and rotations to P&ID symbol?' an eg is the end cap in AutoCAD P&ID, once inserted if you click the cap it gives you the option to flip it. I can't seem to get this to work and was wondering what is the process in doing so.

Go to project settings:

PID DWG settings\PID class definition\

than select your item (engineering or non engineering item

And in the property name add the following:

HasFlowDirection

Type: Boolean

And set the default value to true

Now you can flip the direction of the symbol with selecting it and click on the small arrow.

Thanks mate...perfect, just what I was looking for. It is unfortunate that you don't get an option to rotate the symbol.

Yes. That is the only thing what works.

The P&ID symbols are not compatible with the dynamic blocks:
