Hi John,
Are you modifying the existing Sch 40 PVC spec that ships with Plant 3D or is this a new custom catalog?
Thank you,
It will most likely have to be a new catalog I guess. It is not sch 40. it's PVC-U All countries use it except Canada and the US. Honestly I am suprized there is no mention of it in the plant 3d.
Heres a cut/pste from another post:
Might help with the new metric pipe creation...
"In the catalog editor, pick...Use Plant 3d Parametric Graphics...Fittings....Sleeve...BV
now scroll all the way to right in geometry window........Pipe/Pipe(pe)
found it by accident....nice place for the autodesk team to hide them!"
Ah yeah I'll that!
Unplasticised Polyvinyl Chloride, Correct?
Are you needing to setup the PVC-U pipe itself?
You could set this up as "Pipe" in the catalog using a parametric shape with the "PPL" (plastic plain-end) end type similar to what is used with the AME Plastic Pipes catalog.
ok that is what I am looking for - Unplasticized Polyvinyl Chloride.
Is there a spec for that in plant 3d?
I belive it may ISO 1452-2009 or similar.
Unfortunatly I am having a very hard time finding good information on it.
Currently there is not a content pack for the U-PVC spec. You would need to modify an existing catalog/spec or create a new one with the correct dimensions, part descriptions, etc. The AME plastic parts may be the closest match to start from. The PVC Sch 40 and Sch 80 specs were built from that catalog.
The content team is looking for new content pack reqeusts. I would recommend sending in a request using this link below:

Thank you,
Yeah I sent them a fittings catalog already.
and also requested a complete sch 40 catalog from spears via the request page.
Hi John,
I just wanted to let you know that the George Fisher PVC-C, PVC-U & ABS Content Pack has recently been released on the AutoCAD Plant Exchange:
