Reciently got this for the option to publish revit models into a 3d pdf.
What I am doing, is taking a P3D DWG and inserting it into a conceptual mass, then putting the conceptual mass into revit and publishing it to 3d PDF.
The issue is that it does not display properly, some soilds are wireframe and some are just not showing up. Is there any way to prep the DWG properly to have it display correctly?
has anyone else done this?
yes I know we have autodesk design and review and navisworks freedom which do this MUCH better, but some people have issues downloading the files, so I just want another option.
John.
Have you considered the Tetra4D plug-in? Not sure if it will work for the verticals, but there *is* one for Navisworks...
Ok, downloaded the trial. It works.
Autocad plug in - does not like xrefs or materials. not a huge deal, but slightly annoying
not sure which materials - some structures show up transparent when they should not be.
when I simply deleted the materials it worked fine, after I bound all the xrefs that is.
I do renderings in 3ds max now, so the materials issue isn't a problem.
Navisworks plug in - worked great.
We will be considering buying it now.
Thanks for the overview.
