2011 Ortho Create New View

Does anyone kno if there Is there a way to setup plant3d when starting a new view to start out in model space as 2d wireframe NOT rendered?   This takes a lot of time to sit there and watch it render only to switch it to 2d especially with a large model.

have you tried saving the files in 2dwireframe mode before you make the view

When you create an ortho view, it opens a drawing called "Orthographic View Selection 1" .   I tried opening that drawing and made that 2dwireframe.  I then tried to create a view again and it autimatically turned it back to realistic. 

I can understand why they do this because they would like you to see the red shaded area of the box that you have the view setup to clip, but it would be a nice thing for them to give you an option prior to going into that.

Maybe I will add it to the 2013 wish list.

Change your OrthoTemp.dwt file [C/Program Files/Autodesk/......UserDataCache/OrthoTemp.dwt] Shaded view to 2dWireframe
