Could you post some additional information?  What version did you install?  What operating system? 32 or 64 bit?  Screenshots always help.

I have the same problem. I installed AutoCAD P and ID 2012 for 32 Version and I am running windows 7 professional.

I tried repair and reinstall functions of 2012, it did not help.

I also tried Uninstall, delete all the files and re-install 2012, it did not help. 

Install 2011 for win 32, it did not work either.

In the "New DWG" dialog, there is an option to specify the .dwt file. Can you try replacing the default .dwt file in that dialog with some other .dwt file and see if that works fine? Looks like you are running the educational version of the product and there is a chance that the default PNID .dwt files didn't contain a proper digital signature for the educational version.

Having the exact same problem with educational version.

Problem occurs ;  A.When trying to edit project properties. and B. When trying to create new drawing. 

I've tried changing template without any luck.

Hi,

This seems to be a problem with the educational version. I've reproduced the problem om multiple machines, both 32 and 64-bits version. The error also occures when trying to enter project properties in the sample project (first time use of application). Its also impossible to use any template.

Please take this seriously, the program is at the time completely unusable, not only for me, but the whole school.

The way I solved it for the time being is looking for the map with the templates.

Open it directly and create(save as) a new one.

I also moved it to a different folder which is not burried somewere unknown into 27submaps.

Then when creating a new P&ID select the new created template and it works.
