Why can't I drag my converted items into tool bar like tutorials show?

I have read and watched several tutorials now about adding items to my tool pallette and I have yet to get it to work. I have done everything shown, step by step and still nothing works. Can someone please help me with one of my MANY MANY problems with this software. Thank You

I am having the same issue. Sometimes it allows me to move an objects to the tool pallette, but sometimes it will not. Some objects drop right in, while the others give me the 'no smoking' sign when I attempt to put them in the pallette. What gives?
