Can AutoCAD P&ID 2007 be integrated with Smart Team allowing users to work within design environment and perform typical PDM functions such as advance searches, enabling a quick preview of documents without opening the application that created them, easy "Where Used" retrieval, revision control, and product life cycle operations (check in, check out release and obsolete)? Does this also apply to AutoCAD P&ID 2008?

At this time it cannot be integrated with any PDM provider unless the PDM software can track and use the projectstyle file and the project xml and associated files as well.

We are using PDMWorks with our 2007 P&ID installation. In order to archive and control versions we are basically copying the files into the vault only.

There is more to the overall process that we have come up with but its a little tedious. I can elaborate further it you like?
